Exploring fitness classes in and around your area is becoming even easier than before, with apps like Esquared Fitness on Demand. Let’s face it, we’re filling our hours with more and more activities and we’re looking for ways to make the most of our time. Esquared is your solution for spontaneous fitness! As Rosie discovered, it’s also a fantastic way to discover new classes and makes booking your place hassle-free.
I’m currently studying for a degree in Human Nutrition and I work random hours so I don’t have set times where I fit in my fitness, which is important to me. I also like to mix things up a little depending on how I feel, how my day’s been and what my energy levels are like. Often, I have good intentions but spend too long trying to work out what class to get to, that I end up not going to any! I was hoping that Esquared would help rectify that.
How it works
With Esquared, all you need to do is download the app and sign up via login details, Facebook, or Google. It’s quick and painless. Going by time, location and type of class, you can find something that fits into your daily schedule.
Filtering options allow you to look at time-frames, venue and class ratings, and facilities. You can choose what type of class you want to do from using gym floors, to spinning, to boxing to yoga, plus loads more! The app brought up lots of classes and studios I’d heard of before, such as Digme and Barry’s Bootcamp, but also outdoor workouts, gyms, small independent studios and even swimming pools.
Booking is as simple as clicking on your chosen class, adding your card details (which then get saved) and it’s as easy as any other online shopping app (but with less guilt, because you’re buying something that’s good for you!).
Your bookings are saved for you to refer to and you get given information on the venue, class and even directions from your current location. You can even ask a friend to join you to share in the pain.
I decided to opt for an early morning yoga class, close to where I live. The great thing about this app, is that it shows classes all around London and it’s an easy way to discover places you may not have heard of or been to before. Thanks to the app I found a yoga place just a 20 minute walk from me with classes at an affordable price and I’ve since been several more times. You’ll find that for some classes, you’re paying more or less the same as you would if you booked directly with them, but there are some deals to be had, especially if you want to just use a gym.
