Now that we’re finally able to get back to the gym, working out in your PJs just won’t cut it, no matter how comfy they are! I’ve found the next best solution; Tentree inMotion leggings and bra set. Not only are they silky soft, they are made from recycled materials. The company partner with charitable organisations around the world and plant ten trees for each purchase you make. Having recently learnt that the textile industry is responsible for at least 20% of wastewater and that it has a bigger impact on greenhouse gas emissions than international flights, it feels important to purchase products that are created with sustainability at their core. Tentree is committed to creating eco-friendly, sustainable products, with the earth’s future at the heart of their company.
Tell Me About Tentree
Tentree was founded in 2012 by friends, David Luba and Kalen Emsley, in Saskatchewan, Canada. Tentree are committed to being sustainable and eco-conscious; they plant ten trees for every single item purchased on their online shop. They partner with charitable organisations across the world to plant trees and rehabilitate natural ecosystems. Plus, their products are designed with all body shapes in mind.
- Sustainable – Their products are made from sustainable materials.
- Accessible – Affordable, without any quality sacrificed. Inclusive to all body types.
- Comfortable – Designed with both comfort and function in mind.
What Materials Do They Use?
Tentree are committed to finding and sourcing the most sustainable fibres and materials available.
- Tencel – a wood pulp fiber
- Recycled Polyester – using disgarded plastic bottles from landfill and giving them new form!
- Organic cotton – sustainable and responsible
- Hemp – sustainable, strong, anti-microbial, UV resistant and natural
“You don’t have to be a hardcore environmentalist to make a difference. It’s the little things, like riding your bike to work, bringing your own grocery bag, and buying an item that plants ten trees – they all add up. Especially when millions of other people start doing them too.” Tentree
What Do Tentree Sell?
Tentree’s online store offers sustainable fashion for men, women and children. They have a wide range of clothing options and accessories, including t-shirts, sweaters, blankets and more recently, masks. Their new active range, Tentree inMotion, is now available.
Tentree inMotion
The Tentree inMotion 7/8 Pocket Legging are by far the comfiest workout leggings I have ever owned. Made from 79% Recycled Polyester and 21% Elastane, they are stretchy and fit snug to your body. Not only are they functional (they pass the squat test) they are soft, comfortable and I wear them for a variety of activities. The high waistband feels like a gentle hug, plus it reminds you to suck your belly in, when working out! The leg pockets are always handy, but I especially love the two hidden waistband pockets, ideal for concealing a phone or money, when on the run!
I have the periscope grey in a size L, which is a welcome break away from my normal black. I am a little out of shape after the countless lockdowns we have endured, and currently wear a size 14. The L fits perfectly, but I would recommend that if you are on the way to a size 12, a M would would be better as Tentree are generous with their sizing.
The inMotion Double Scoop Bra has a light support hold. I wear mine for more gentle exercise such as yoga or stretch, but I also love to wear it generally, when I don’t feel like wearing an underwired bra. I wouldn’t wear this during more active exercises, such as running. The bra matches the leggings, so can be worn as a set. It’s so soft and smooth, and super comfy.
Final Thoughts
I love my Tentree inMotion set as it is so comfy. I actively want to wear this outfit, which encourages me to workout!
Tentree are affordable, sustainable and you can breathe easy knowing that each purchase means ten trees will be planted. Before you know it, you’ll have helped plant a forrest.
Tentree are awesome and I can’t rate them high enough, which is why I have featured them in our November Round Up, my Christmas Wish List and our Weekend Away Checklist.
